It is common that during times of hardship and loss, people gain a stronger appreciation for the blessings that they have been given. Despite potential adversity, we always have choices regarding the way in which we choose to evaluate the overall quality of our lives. Through every struggle, we can choose to gain success. Through every failure, we can choose to attain triumph. And through every defeat, we can choose to achieve victory. It seems that everywhere we turn in our country right now we hear about how our economy is in a weakened state. My hope is that the current times have helped us to be more appreciative of the things that we do have. Most of us still have food to eat, our health, and a roof over our head. Therefore, we truly do have so much to be thankful for. Sadly, there are thousands of people all around the world that don't have these basic necessities. Instead, they suffer through the pains of starvation, the devastation of AIDS, and the discomfort of living without a permanent place to rest their heads at night. Read More...
